With thanks to all who submitted entries, to our judges and partners, and to all who voted, we’re excited to announce that Swipes for the Homeless is the winner of PHILfactor 2012!
Swipes for the Homeless has a dual mission to tangibly and tactically partner with college campuses to alleviate hunger while raising young people’s awareness of homelessness and hunger through education and outreach. Founded as a student organization at UCLA in 2009, the organization empowers students to donate unused meal plan “swipes” that would otherwise go to waste and delivers food directly to those in need.
ABOUT THE CONTEST
PHILfactor is Phil & Co.’s contest to give away a pro-bono marketing strategy and campaign worth $25,000 to a deserving philanthropy.
We specialize in contemporary marketing for philanthropies and companies doing good, and we hope this contest will help an innovative organization reach a bigger audience and advance its goals.
Anyone with a Facebook account can cast their vote online to help us select the winner, which will be announced on January 8th. Then we’ll meet with the winning organization to develop the campaign and promote their cause.
