Launching a New Era of Technology for NYC
In September 2017, a transformative applied sciences and tech university will open on Roosevelt Island. The realization of former Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s vision for expanding NYC’s tech sector, the campus is anticipated to generate hundreds of new businesses and drive an estimated $23 billion into the city’s economy over the next decade. It was created as a partnership between Cornell University and the world-renowned Technion–Israel Institute of Technology—a global leader in science and technology higher education—and represents the first-ever campus opened by an international university on U.S. soil.
The American Technion Society has retained Phil & Co. to lead marketing and communications promoting the launch in New York City, as well as audience research and brand strategy for their U.S. fundraising campaign, which will support a 10-year, $1.5 billion global fundraising initiative.
