Phil & Co. partner Cliff Sloan recently took students from his Cause Branding and Marketing Masters class at the School of Visual Arts to the United Nations to present their creative branding concepts in support of the UN’s Responsibility to Protect (R2P) initiative.
As part of their final Masters class presentations, Cliff’s students broke into teams to create a new visual identity, logo and refreshed branding for this UN global initiative and commitment to prevent atrocities like genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity.
The students presented their work to a panel of UN leaders comprised of Communications Director and Spokesperson Dan Thomas, Advocacy Officer Evan Cinq-Mars, Digital Communications Specialist Katharina Kandt and Graphic Design Lead Ziad Alkadri.
The panel was impressed with the students’ work and is considering which direction may be chosen for their final identity.
